Sebastian Henry Loewy has Arrived

A big welcome to Sebastian Henry Loewy!

Arrived at 11:31pm, weighing in at 7 pounds 8 ounces and measuring 20 1/2 inches.

Code Blue!

Woke up at 7:30 this morning with what I thought was my water breaking. I didn't realize that it could just dribble out. Called Eirin and Mom, both started their trip to Tampa. Also called the mid-wife. She said she would meet us at the hospital.

Brad kept excellent notes on his Facebook posts:

12:18pm - at the hospital in the labor room. Waiting for the contractions to get going. However it goes, we're not leaving without a baby!

3:18pm - At 4cm, midwife thinks he'll be arriving in a few hours!

5:26pm - Still in labor. They're filling up the labor pool right now.

6:08pm - Jessica is in the pool.

6:32pm - Jessica is in the pool. She's been updating her status too, but Facebook is being weird. Not sure if anyone can see it. Anyone see Jessica's status updates from today? Last one was "Loving laboring in the pool"

8:32pm - Still no baby 12 hours later. Trying out pitocin and out of the pool.

10:40pm - Midwife thinks the baby may come before midnight, but seems like a real longshot to me.

11:11pm - Setting up the baby warmer. Lots of pain.

11:38pm - We have a BABY!!!!

Felt awful today. I asked Brad to come home from work because I just couldn't take care of Maddie. I was nauseated and felt really run down. Called the mid-wife and she said that this could mean that the baby is almost here!

Brad took me out for Sushi to help me feel better!

False Alarm

Woke up this morning having contractions, went for a walk and they got worse. Called Eirin and put her on alert to possibly come down. Took a nap and woke up with nothing :0( I was so wishing that today would be the day!

Contractions

We are wondering if Baby X will join us today. It is a bit early, but I'm having some contractions. Wouldn't that be nice to meet my little boy today!

Happy 2nd Birthday Maddie!

Maddie is TWO today! Happy Birthday Maddie!!!

It's cupcakes for the birthday and this weekend, we're all going to Disney World!! Maddie is going to see Mickey's house (and good luck to us dealing with a 2 year old at Disney)!

Back from Vacation

Maddie got to see snow in North Carolina, though it was all falling from a snow gun. Still, she had a lot of fun. She got to try on skis and she went sledding and haking.

The "snow ice" was a big hit and by the end of the trip, we even got Maddie to keep her gloves on!
